Workers Compensation Board of Prince Edward Island

Important Notice: Possible Postal Strike Disruption

September 21, 2018

In the event of a postal service disruption, which may happen as early as Wednesday, September 26, the Workers Compensation Board of Prince Edward has a plan in place to ensure that workers receive their benefits in a timely manner.

In the event that postal service is not available, clients will be able to pick up their cheques at the WCB office in Charlottetown. However, clients are strongly encouraged to sign up for direct deposit, which would provide for a more direct and prompt delivery. If you are picking up your cheque at the WCB, please call ahead. Please visit the website often, or contact us for more information.

If a postal service disruption occurs, the WCB recommends that all correspondence, including reports of injury and illness, be faxed to 902-368-5696 or dropped off to our office at 14 Weymouth Street in Charlottetown. Employers can sign up for online services to submit injury reports and payments electronically or they can drop into the WCB office. Health Care Providers can sign up for online services for direct deposit and uploading of forms to the WCB.
