OHS Leadership Program
The Workers Compensation Board of PEI is seeking high school students (*two per school) to become Occupational Health and Safety leaders.

Application to the program is open until Friday, September 30, 2016.


OHS Leaders are required to:

  • Attend a one-day orientation session in Charlottetown on Thursday, October 27, 2016
  • Work with the other OHS Leader at your school to organize six activities, spaced throughout the year, to raise OHS awareness
  • Work under the guidance of the WCB Youth Education Consultant
  • Demonstrate good decision-making at school

An eligible applicant:

  • Is in Grade 11 or 12
  • Is good at connecting with other students
  • Is interested in workplace safety
  • Plans to pursue further education after high school
  • May apply in partnership with another eligible student (Each partner completes a form)
*A student may apply with a partner, or as an individual willing to work with an assigned partner. There must be two successful applicants for the program to be run at any school.
