This year, the WCB will be distributing $18 million to eligible registered employers.

Looking ahead to 2026:

• $1.28 will be the average employer assessment rate, including a $0.09 rebate to help keep rates affordable.
  
  
• The Maximum Assessable Earnings (MAE) will increase to $89,300, meaning Island workers will have more earnings eligible for WCB coverage.

The surplus distribution will be issued in the coming weeks. Individual employer assessment rates will also be shared later this month.
